Our Last Reunion
Our last reunion, hosted by our Past President Don McDowell assisted by Sid and Pat Gilbreath, was held at The Hampton Inn on Pensacola Beach, FL. 79 people attended this reunion including 29 who served on board during the 50's and 2 who served on board during World War II.
Tuesday activities included among other things: A Trolley Tour of historic downtown Pensacola, our Memorial Service was held at Veterans Memorial Park complete with a Bugler, Color Guard and Wreath Bearers provided by NAS Pensacola. All followed by a great lunch at McGuire's Irish Pub. On Wednesday we visited NAS Pensacola to watch the Famous Blue Angels practice. This was followed by a visit to the Naval Air Museum with lunch at the Cubi Bar. Thursday we held our business meeting and had our banquet at the hotel. The hotel and it's staff were ideal, the beach is beautiful and the weather was perfect ! Our hospitality room was well stocked thanks to Mark Wilton of Auburn University and music was provided by our Treasurer Ben Morris. All told it really was a fantastic reunion !!
Our Next Reunion
Our 2011 reunion will be held in May at the Marriott Hotel in Newport News, VA . and will be hosted by our new President/Secretary George Bauersfeld who will be assisted by Carole Sonneborn. Carole has years of reunion and travel planning experience.

Our 2012 Reunion
Our 2012 reunion will be held in May Savannah, GA. It will be hosted by our new Vice President Sid Gilbreath assisted by his wife Pat and past President Don McDowell.

We honor these shipmates from our World War II crew that have passed on since our last reunion. We honor these shipmates from our Korean War and beyond crews that have passed on since our last reunion. MAY THEIR SEAS BE FOREVER SMOOTH !
